November Edition

Hello, Local Readers and Supporters!

On October 11th, I conducted my first workshop with a group of incredible young women. It was my privilege to educate these scholars for the first time, and I'm truly grateful for the experience.

This workshop was hosted by G.R.O.W. (Girls Removing Obstacles Worldwide) and managed by Ms. Mravena Kemp.

Their mission is to support and empower girls, focusing on education, leadership development, self-esteem building, and gender equality.

We had an amazing time together, below are some quotes from students, along with photos.

"First, I want to thank Ms. Marvena and Dr. D. for giving me the opportunity to learn more about my Black and African American history."

"One thing I will never forget is that we were enslaved, not slaves, because we were born as Queens and Kings."

"The incredible artifacts and exhibits in the museum illustrated the history of African American culture and the resilience of our ancestors."

"It was a great honor to receive so much knowledge and power, delivered with such passion and a commitment to educate future leaders."
